I recently visited the beautiful Simius Beach in south-eastern Sardinia. Nestled between rocky outcrops, this wide sandy beach has crystal clear waters and is perfect for a relaxing day by the sea.

- 🚣 Watersports: Several nearby hotels offer free use of kayaks, paddleboards and more for guests. Or rent them at the beach bar.
- 🥾 Scenic Walks: Lovely coastal trails in the area lead to secluded coves and panoramic viewpoints overlooking the sea.
- 🍽️ Beach Bars: Grab a snack or cold drink at one of the small bars right on Simius Beach. The relaxed vibe is perfect after a day in the sun.

The little town of Villasimius, just a 10-15 minute walk up the coast, offers plenty of dining options from casual pizzerias to fine seafood restaurants. Or grab a quick bite right on Simius Beach itself.

Parking areas can fill up in peak season. The comunale parking area charges €5 per day and includes showers – good value. Get there early for a spot in the shade under the trees.
