- Admire the natural beauty – crystal clear, shallow turquoise waters that change color depending on the depth, fine pinkish-white sand, picturesque rocks and islets around forming a peaceful lagoon.
- Go swimming and sunbathing – the calm and warm waters are ideal for relaxation.
- Rent an umbrella and sunbeds – prices start from €15 per set.
- Have a meal or drink at the small beach cantina. Prices are high due to the remote location. Consider bringing your own food.
- Take a boat trip back for more time to enjoy the paradise beach.

There are several excellent tavernas in the nearby village of Kaliviani, about a 20-30 minute drive from the beach.

How to Get There
You can reach Balos Beach either by car or by boat from Kissamos port.
By Car
- 30-40 min drive from Kissamos along a 1km dusty road. Entrance fee: €1 pp.
- Parking fee: €3
- 20-30 min hike down a steep hill to the beach. Difficult to access with a stroller.
By Boat
- Hour-long trip with a stop at the idyllic Gramvousa island.
- Boat fee: €23-28.
- Allows more beach time without difficult drive and hike.
